This piece is part of the 2026 Election War Room, my running file on voter suppression, the Trump coalition, and the fight for the 2026 election.

I’m nervous about the future of the country. As a military veteran I served faithfully but I don’t recognize the democracy and US Constitution as it is interpreted today. I’m nervous that the corruption and flaunting of rules and laws will become normalized.
